Rissat studied History BA (Hons) at the University of Manchester and graduated in 2020. She subsequently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School in 2021 and the Solicitor Qualifying Exams (SQE) at the University of Law from 2022 to 2024 whilst undertaking two years training at a national law firm. Most recently, Rissat qualified as an Employment Solicitor in November 2024 after joining Horsfield Menzies.

As part of her day-to-day role, Rissat advises on a range of employment and HR issues including providing ad-hoc advice, reviewing contracts of employment and policies, advising on settlement agreements and assisting clients through the Tribunal process. As a junior lawyer, Rissat hopes to continue to develop her understanding of complex areas of employment law.

Outside of work, Rissat enjoys travelling and discovering new coffee shops and restaurants. She has a creative spirit (and a sweet tooth), often baking sweet treats, crafting intricate henna designs, developing her photography skills and reading to broaden her understanding of the world. Rissat also enjoys binge watching Korean dramas with her sisters.
