RACHEL YORKE - SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Rachel is a Senior Associate in the Employment team.
Rachel is an experienced advisor, litigator and investigator. She also regularly provides training sessions to clients on a variety of topics including:
equality and diversity;
managing poor performance and misconduct issues;
handling employee grievances;
reducing and managing sickness absence.
Clients include owner-managed businesses and household name businesses in a range of sectors, including retail, manufacturing, facilities management and hospitality.
Recent examples of how Rachel has supported clients include:
carrying out an extensive investigation into a grievance brought by an employee who alleged wrongdoing on the part of the MD and CFO, and producing a detailed report, to include findings and commercial recommendations;
conducting a number of investigations into allegations of discrimination and harassment, and producing detailed findings and recommendations;
successfully representing a client in defending claims for unfair dismissal and discrimination, and obtaining a significant costs award for the client; and
managing a large scale settlement agreement project which involved providing advice to 250+ employees.
